From Rescued Jackdaw to Release Day

Not every rescue makes headlines, but this one stuck with us. A young jackdaw came into our care after a fall from its nest, unable to fly and clearly frightened.

Over several weeks it grew stronger, and a young girl who’d found the bird followed every step of its recovery. On release day, she was there to watch it fly off, and she’s been asking questions about wildlife ever since. It’s a small story, but it’s exactly why we do what we do.
